چکیده

Abstract 3D meso-structural composites with three layers were constructed using modeling software Pro/E, and the static anisotropic characteristics of under lateral compression in warp weft directions simulated by finite element analysis ANSYS. The mechanical properties predicted analyzing stress strain distribution fiber resin load. then analyzed. Results showed that property was anisotropic, performance direction better than direction. In composite, bears more load, undergoes greater deformation. Fibers whose axial is parallel to while fibers perpendicular less

Meso-scale Modeling of Tension Analysis of Pure and Intra-ply Hybrid Woven Composites Using Finite Element Method

One of the key issues associated with using of composites in various applications is their tensile behavior. The tensile behavior of a composite material is strongly influenced by the properties of its constituents and their distribution. This paper focuses on gaining some insights into the tensile process of pure and hybrid woven composite reinforced with brittle and ductile yarns. For this pu...

Experimental and Finite Element Simulation of Nano-indentation on Metal Matrix Composites: Hardness Prediction

The scientific importance of nanocomposites are being increased due to their improvedproperties. This paper is divided into two parts. First, Al-Al2O3 nanocomposite wasproduced by using ball milling technique followed by cold compaction and sintering.Microstructure and morphology studies were done through SEM, TEM, and EDX anal-ysis on the produced powder. The mechanical properties of the produ...

Finite Element Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Column Under Lateral Load

To serve its purpose a structure must be safe against collapse and serviceable in use. Serviceability requires that deflections be adequately small to keep the cracks within tolerable limits. Although the widely followed ACI Code suggests a detailed method of deflection calculation, it often cannot exactly perceive the actual behavior of a structure. For this purpose, finite element analysis, u...

Finite element modeling of polymer matrix nano-composites reinforced by nano-cylindrical fillers

A new three-dimensional unit cell model has been developed for modeling three constituent phases including inclusion, interphase and matrix. The total elastic modulus of nano-composite is evaluated.  Numerical results are in good agreement with the previous proposed theoretical modeling. Higher matrix and inclusion elastic modulus both can dramatically influence the total elastic modulus.
